States
with Approved Plans
If your facility is located in an OSHA-approved State-plan
state, you must comply with the Hazard Communication requirements
of the state. OSHA-approved state plans are required to promulgate
standards that are "at least as effective" as the Federal
rule, but they may differ in some respects. This section provides
links to the individual state plan states. An updated list
can be found at http://www.osha.gov/dcsp/osp/index.html.
NOTE: The Connecticut, Illinois,
New Jersey, New York and Virgin Islands plans cover public
sector (State & local government) employment only.
